CamSync

Drop each camera's clips (and your audio recorder's files) onto their own lane. CamSync matches them by audio waveform, lines them up, and exports a Premiere Pro sequence. Everything runs locally in your browser.

Drop clips onto the lanes below.

How to use / import into Premiere Pro
  1. Add a lane for every camera and every audio recorder (+ buttons). Drop that device's clips onto its lane, or use the lane's + button. Clips on one lane are laid out one after another, like the camera recorded them.
  2. Set the frame rate and size to match your Premiere sequence, and type the folder where the original media lives (otherwise Premiere will ask you to Link Media). If the lanes' files are in different folders, click a lane's folder button and enter that lane's folder.
  3. Click Sync clips. Matching clips line up across lanes. Each recording session ("take") becomes a group, and groups are placed one after another. Clips that could not be matched are moved to the far-right red zone so they stand out; use Go to unsynced to jump there. Drag any clip to fix it by hand.
  4. Click Export Premiere XML, then in Premiere use File > Import. Each lane becomes its own video/audio track(s), and with "organize into bins" ticked, each lane's clips also get their own bin in the Project panel. If Premiere refuses the XML, untick that option and export again.

Clips on the same lane are never matched against each other, only against other lanes, so you need at least two lanes with footage, and two clips need roughly 6 seconds or more of shared audio to be matched. Your browser must be able to decode each file's audio (H.264/AAC MP4/MOV, WAV and AVCHD .MTS/.M2TS (AC-3, AAC or MP2 audio) are fine; ProRes, MXF and some HEVC may fail; files over about 2 GB cannot be read, so use proxies and the extension field).
